At our school we believe that learning should inspire children to care for the world they are growing up in while strengthening the community we share. As part of Triumph Learning Trust, we are committed to a greener future and to helping every child understand how their actions can make a difference. The Trust has set clear goals to reduce carbon emissions, champion sustainability in everyday school life, and build resilience for the future, ensuring pupils learn in safe, healthy, climate-conscious environments.
Climate action at our school is about education, action, and working together. Through engaging learning experiences, pupil leadership such as Eco Councils, and whole community involvement, we aim to develop environmentally responsible citizens who feel confident about shaping a better future. Our shared values of innovation, collaboration and aspiration guide this work, helping us build a culture where caring for our planet becomes part of who we are as a school family.
This page will grow as our work develops. We look forward to sharing the steps we are taking, the achievements of our pupils, and the difference we can make together.
Eco Council 2025/26
We had a hugely positive response to our Eco Council recruitment drive: it was wonderful to see the creativity and thoughtfulness of everyone’s letters and posters. There were many more children wanting to become Eco Councillors than there are actual places on the Eco Council, so all applicants have been invited to join a range of task forces (Garden Squad, Poster Design, Litter Picking Legends and Newsletter/Website Writers).
I’m really looking forward to working with the Eco Councillors and task force members as we share ideas that will impact our school, community and (in our own small but valuable way) the beautiful, fragile planet we all call home.
