Bilton Junior School 0-1 Cawston Grange

24th March 2015

 

Cawston played Bilton Junior School. The game kicked off and we all knew Cawston was going to have a tough game.

 

1st Half

In the vital minutes of the first half Cawston were playing really well and we managed to get the ball into the opposition half. Reece Wallace collected the ball and beautifully set up Harrison and Harrison scored. Bilton came back quickly and had a cracker of a shot against Aidan. Charlie and Ethan were doing some really good defending.

 

2nd Half

Soo the 2nd half occurred and Cawston were up 1-0 and now the defence had to stand strong. Cawston had a positive start to the second half and we carried on that way, trying our best throughout. Then the final whistle came at last. Ethan and Harrison both won man of the match. A great day for Cawston.

Bilton Junior School v Cawston Grange

Cawston Grange v Crescent - Wednesday 11th March 2015

 

Last Wednesday 11th March we played Crescent Primary. We played Crescent for the second time this season having previously drawn 3-3. Unfortunately Cawston didn’t play as well as they possibly could.

 

As the game kicked off Cawston started with the ball and played in an okay fashion. A Crescent player ran down the pitch and, from outside the box, scored a peach of a goal. After about 5 minutes Crescent smashed a cracking goal in the back of the net.

 

Half Time 2-0

 

In the second half they scored another goal but it didn’t end there, they scored one more goal just before the full time whistle. Cawston had some good chances but the Crescent goalie did not make any mistakes. The final whistle blew. The end score 4-0 to Crescent.

We have been learning about E-safety. We have thought very carefully about how we should behave when using the digital technologies as well as what we should do if we are having any problems. We created storyboards to explore some of the possible scenarioes which could happen.

In Science we have been exploring forces. One focus has been to understand how the surface area of an object affects the rate at which it falls. We have planned our own investigation into this using parachutes. We found out that the larger the surface area of the parachute, the slower it wlll fall.

We have been studying Shakespeare's play 'The Tempest'. As part of this we had to work co-operatively in groups to prepare and then present a small section of the play. We had to plan carefully and agree on the parts and how we needed to use our voice at different points to bring the scene alive.

In Snow Leopards we have met and walked with a robot. We also had the chance to make simple robots of our own. It was a great workshop and we all learnt a lot.
