Jamaica Day - July 2023
This week we have been creating Jamaican adverts for the TV. Does this one make you want to visit?
14th July- We have enjoyed making underwater collages, working as a team and imagining what might be in the Caribbean Sea!

In Summer 2, our DT topic has been designing and making waistcoats for our teddy bears!

Summer 1 has started with being active. We took part in a great cricket session this week!
What an exciting Easter Egg problem solving activity in the Nature Classroom. The sun was out and we worked well as teams. A great way to finish a busy half-term. Happy Easter everyone!
Our Teddy Bear Blankets: In Art this half-term, we have designed and made blankets. This involved tie dying, sewing, printing and wax rubbing. We are delighted with our finished pieces. Thank you to all of the parents, grandparents and great grandparents who helped us! We really appreciate it!
Spring is definitely here! We loved meeting the ducklings in Reception...
9th March- UK Day- We have spent the whole day learning about the countries of the UK!
Spring 2 has started with a fantastic World Book Day, meeting Mini Grey! We dressed up as our favourite book characters, listened to Mini read two of her stories and learnt how to do some illustrations. We even had hot chocolate and made our own Hermelin mouse characters.! What a brilliant day!
What a fabulous half-term of learning we have had, learning about the Great Fire of London. Here is the song we performed in assembly recently.
10th February- We have enjoyed acting out extracts from the Great Fire of London today...
Spring 1 Science- We have been learning about materials and tested out which material was the best to make a new trainer sole from.
26th January- Our Great Fire of London Day!
Our Spring term art has been amazing, practising drawing portraits in different ways. We have learned about Picasso and Jakkrit Chewapanya and created portraits in the style of them.
Christmas Week- We have had lots of fun this week. We have played Christmas games, enjoyed Christmas dinner and created clay Christmas ornaments!
9th December- The Zebras have smashed it with their Year 2 performance of Lights, Camel, Action. Well done to all of you!
22nd November - During our Geography lesson on Our Local Area we walked around Cawston. We talked about the human and physical features that we spotted as we walked and wrote up our findings back in the classroom.
Autumn 2 Art Work- We have been having fun experimenting with sculpture!
20th October- We finished off our vehicles and shared them with the Penguins today! What a lovely way to end an exciting half-term!
October 2022- Wellbeing Week has been such fun!
11th October- We enjoyed playing games and learning to hula hoop with Hoop Guy.
10th October- Trip to Coventry Transport Museum and Herbert Art Gallery. What a busy day we had!
30th September- We performed our song A Bicycle Built for Two in assembly. The audience loved it! Here we are practising...
29th September- We have had a brilliant time riding our bikes and scooters today!
23.09.22- We have been learning about axles in our DT learning today. We worked as a team to create a vehicle.
Autumn 1 in the Nature Classroom
23.09.22- We have created toys with a wind-up mechanism in DT and today we shared them with the Dolphins class.
