Red Pandas – Year 1

We loved following some instructions to draw our very own red pandas! Each one is unique and amazing!

Well done Red Pandas! You walked all the way there, and all the way back! We have some budding new organ players in Year 1.

We are practising our song for next Friday's assembly. Here is the YouTube link for anyone who wants to practice at home!

When the Fire Officers came to visit!

Listen to our instruments... they pop, fizz and bang just like fireworks!

In well being week we learnt about resilience with the Hoop guy, relaxing with yoga and were also lucky enough to meet Woody. We hope you enjoy our pictures.

Red Panda's first week of formal learning

Well done Red Pandas! You have completed your second week, and wow! What a week! It is very big jump from Reception to Year 1 and this week you have done very well to start doing more learning at tables. :)

This week we have been exploring the Nature Classroom and finding lots of natural materials for our art. I have been impressed to see all of the Red Panda's brilliant writing about Walter's Windy Washing Line (our first book we are looking at in English)

In Maths the children have worked very hard to count within 20 and represent different numbers.

In Geography the Red Pandas have been using aerial photographs and plans to study our school and its grounds.

Wow Red Pandas!

I can't believe the first week has already been done!

You should all be so proud with the way you have settled into your new class. I have really enjoyed our first week together as the new Red Pandas. I hope that you have a good rest this weekend so you can be refreshed and ready for us to do it all again next week. :)

Here are some reminders...
