Cawston Grange Primary School

Excellence, Respect, Friendship

First World War Ceremony

Tuesday 11 November years 4, 5 and 6 will be attending a commemorative First World War ceremony to mark the 100th Anniversary of the war.

In partnership with Rugby Borough Council and Cawston Parish Council, the school will be leading the inaugural ceremony of a planned arboretum at Cawston.  The land chosen is based at the corner of Cawston Grange Drive and Whitefriars Drive.

The ceremony will be led by a minister from Bilton Evangelical Church and attended by the Mayor of Rugby and the British Legion.

In the school’s eleventh year, eleven of our oldest pupils will plant eleven trees to mark the anniversary and the creation of a place of reflection for the community of Cawston.

The ceremony will begin at 2.00pm, all welcome.
