  • Jessica Batchelor – Competition Winner

    Thu 21 May 2015

We were visited this week by representatives from CPRE, Campaign to Protect Rural England.

Lord Willoughby de Broke presented Jessica Batchelor with £50 of book tokens for her story ‘Stranded Survivor’ which took first place in her age category.  The school also received £200.  Jessica will help us spend this gift by choosing the first books to go into our new KS2 Library.

  • Learning Council Election results 2015

    Fri 15 May 2015

The elections this year have gone very smoothly, thanks to the help and support of the current learning council and several volunteers from Year 6.  Many people tried their best to become elected this year, preparing speeches and in some cases PowerPoint presentations as well.  We were all very pleased to see so many children keen and enthusiastic to put themselves forward for the posts on offer.  The overall party winner was the Outdoor Party.

  • Cawston Grange Collage

    Fri 08 May 2015

Last term the school looked at ‘The Comfort Blanket’ tapestry created by the artist Grayson Perry.  All children were asked to think of six words or phrases which they think are part of the Cawston Grange way of life with the aim of creating our own Cawston Grange Collage.  Some popular words to describe our school from the children are – friendship, making memories, inspirational, pride and love learning.

We are currently finalising our design to begin work next half term.
